Floorboards success

Post by Ruth »

I have just finished sanding, filling, re-sanding and staining floorboards. Just the sort of thing one does days before Christmas.

I was on here recently asking about wax and stains etc. I have finished off with floor oil and it looks fantastic. I will never use a varnish again on any wood. The back room is stained and varnished and by comparison it looks a really tacky job.

I got all the info from this site so many thanks. Christmas might not be happening in our house but at least I have a nice floor. Kills your back and knees though.

Glad we could be of help :thumbright: (that is a 'royal we' - I couldn't help at all  )

Don't forget to stay around, Ruth :thumbright:
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman, "Where's the self-help section?"
She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
