Post by scotty1989 »
had a guy round checking for cavity wall insulation and loft insulation said am good to get the cavity wall but the loft is fine which am all happy about getting it done for free

How old is your house? What type of construction is it? Does it need cavity wall insulation?
Carpentry,I can explain it to you but I cannot understand it for you.

If it was built 15 year ago in Scotland chances are it's timber framed and you wouldnt want to fill the cavity.

The outer walls are assumed to be of cavity brick/block construction with a facing brick and rendered finish externally.

It's a traditional build then and cavity wall insulation is fine
I just thought I'd mention the timber frame question as most houses are constructed this way now up here.
