Out of interest Mailee, what would you charge for something like that?

The stuff you can knock up with a couple of old pallets. That looks nearly as good as an Ikea one :thumbright:

I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work

This particular item is in the range of £370. I wish they did make pallets out of oak might save me a few quid. I actually did have a customer come into the shop and ask me if I was more expensive than Ikea. ::b

That really is quite reasonable, cheap in fact.

Although don't hold me to that when I get you to quote for something!

In all seriousness I've seen the many items you've posted over the years and your work is consistent in quailty everytime. Now and again we get custom pieces that need to be made and i've often thought about getting in contact. I know you're a fair distance from us but I assume you could price and work from drawings?

Edit: what did you lacquer it with btw?

This one isn't lacquered it is a wax finish. When I do lacquer pieces I use Morrells 2K clear. I have done work for customers at a distance from me but they have been small items as the shipping on larger items makes it too expensive.
