I gargle if I get it, it helps a little. We get an in law free Crimbo every year, just the four of us!
What is the current theory with Tonsils then?
In my memory, it has been rip em out, leave em in. eat ice cream coz it's soft, eat dry cornflakes coz they are rough. treat them, ignore them I wouldn't have a clue what the doctor would do today (I don't even know if I have my tonsils or not!)
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman, "Where's the self-help section?"
She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Actually Panlid - seeing your post reminded me - if there is one thing that makes me feel odd, it is a Midget Gem overdose!! Beer is ok, other food is ok, but Midget Gems are like a drug
uh-oh ..... Thinking about midget gems again and all the shops closed!

When I was young they were all for removing them, then the thinking was that they act as a barrier to infection. You get ice cream if they're removed because it's cold and easy to eat. I had antibiotics the last time I had bad tonsilitis and it went fairly quickly, I don't normally get medication from the GP though, you'd have to be dying at our surgery. You'd have to have a look on the NHS Direct site to see what they recommend.

They don,t remove them here anymore either unless they really have to. :tongue9:
Without tempting fate, I hope I should be ok Generally in good health - except got an X-Ray booked for 2nd Jan as I think I have broken or chipped a bone in my foot - fell over in Sept and still painful
You need to get a new doctor for sure, Blu - sounds total rubbish

I don't go to the GP if I can help it, they're a total waste of time.
I cracked the knuckle on my next to little toe and have a lump but nothing could be done to improve it.
Hey Bathstyle - changing the subject ... Do you go along with the tradition of opening one or more pressies Xmas eve? We used to do that in our family due to german mother.
