Would it not be cheaper to hire one?
Above are my opinions Below is my signature.
Would you hit a nail with a shoe because you don't have a hammer? of course not, then why work on anything electrical without a means of testing Click Here to buy a "tester" just because it works, does NOT mean it is safe.
If gloom had a voice, it would be me.

Re: Wanted cement mixer
It would be cheaper to hire one but because of work commitments I'll only get a day here and there so want one on the ready for when I need it

I got a belle 130 electric off gumtree for £30! Sold as untested - looked like it had little use in the pic so gambled! Brought home, found plug had a loose cable, reconnected & away it went! Oh & it came with the stand also!

Re: Wanted cement mixer
Hi,
I bought a brand new cement mixer through eBay for a big job I had at the time; it cost around £160 delivered. After 6 weeks I sold it through eBay getting £120 less fees. Good value for £40 and brand new.
Kind regards, Col.
