Re: Windows 10 Loaded
It's possible it was an update or something - who knows.someone-else wrote:internet.jpgNow this is odd.
Above is a screen shot of my connections. You can clearly see I am now connected via a cable, and that the wifi connection is not being used. Odd thing is, I have done ...............nothing.
The PPOE connection would is a dial on demand connection. It's if you have ADSL/"Fibre" and connect directly to a modem - it allows you to establish a connection to your internet provider without a router doing the work for you.
I'd not expect this to be connected unless you were into a modem and not a router. It's normally used for testing, than the norm.

Mine took well over 2 hours, even though they say its not supposed to.
Above are my opinions Below is my signature.
Would you hit a nail with a shoe because you don't have a hammer? of course not, then why work on anything electrical without a means of testing Click Here to buy a "tester" just because it works, does NOT mean it is safe.
If gloom had a voice, it would be me.

Re: Windows 10 Loaded
win 10 - up and running fine but what I will say is configure the settings so it doesn't send data to MS and turn off connect to a wifi hotspot feature
everything can be found with just using the box on the taskbar - its made it far simpler to use but the power user side of things is a bit hidden
ps. you can check on download progress in windows update as millions are downloading it the download speeds can be hit and miss

Re: Windows 10 Loaded
How big is the download for Win 10?
I ask as I have suddenly got 5.8Gb file in the Windows files temporary folder, but the notification still says I have to wait for it.
Just wondered if it could be win 10 before I delete it!

Mine looks to be 5.7GB so it's likely the download.gas4you wrote:How big is the download for Win 10?

If you can't wait, then you can start it by downloading this and selecting 'upgrade' when prompted (or build an ISO/bootable drive).
