4G tv problems ?
Just had a letter today saying we will be getting 4G in our area and that it could effect our freeview tv reception , just wondering if this is the case should invest in a freesat box ? we only watch the basic channels BBC ITV 4 , any advice would be appreciated .

I find that a bit disconcerting.
By LAW you are not allowed to interfere with radio signals. If the 4G system is going to do that then the 4G system is in contravention of the law.

Its called "covering their behind" that letter has been out for a while, yes its true, but I have not heard of anyone affected, just leave things as they are.
Above are my opinions Below is my signature.
Would you hit a nail with a shoe because you don't have a hammer? of course not, then why work on anything electrical without a means of testing Click Here to buy a "tester" just because it works, does NOT mean it is safe.
If gloom had a voice, it would be me.

"covering their @rses' just doesn't work.
Anyone who causes, deliberately or otherwise, the interference or disruption of established communications systems is in breach of the Telecommunications Act re interference.
It is THEIR responsibility to stop, prevent or otherwise correct the error of THEIR making - not yours. If you ARE affected then kick up merry h3ll and report them to the Radio Regulatory Authority (assuming they don't 'fix' it).
Pieces of paper 'warning' you of consequences does not absolve them from their responsibilities.
All of this is well established in law and they should be well aware of it.

Nope, not a scam.
It may be said that "covering their rear" doesn't work by sending out letters, and it is against the law etc, but the fact is, that is exactly what is happening.
I am not here on behalf of any phone company etc, I am not saying it is not illegal, I am saying like it or not, that is what is being done.
