New to this web site, just after a bit of advice.
Im about to put new plasterboard on the ceilling in the bathroom, but Ive got larth and plaster ceiling. Do I need to cut a bigger hole in the larth and plaster where the downlights are going, to help prevent any possible fire hazard?
Cheers

You are better off fitting fire rated downlights or else you may need to fit fire hoods.

cutting a bigger hole in the lath and plaster above the plasterboard will make it easier to fit the new lights.
