gutted

was coming off a site on wednesday and fell over a piece of wood n damaged tendons in my ankle, had it strapped up at a&e but feel so helpless. played about 200 games of pool so far online n now im bored with that

That is bad news, how long will you be off work for roughly?

docs at the hospital said i cant/wont be able to drive for about 2-3 weeks :cb :cb

took the bandage off before to have a shower n it hurt like hell so had to get out n put bandage back on

rang the mrs to see if she would take me up to the pub to watch the footy, only thing is shes the worlds worst driver but ill have to put up with it, plus its only 10-15 min drive !!

When you said "coming off a site", if you were working at the time, then it would be classed as an industrial injury, so it is very unlikely that they WON'T pay you I would have thought.
The potential for HSE investigations and no-win, no fee lawyers nowadays is so high, the typical employer doesn't want to go down THAT rathole!

I feel sorry for the piece of wood, there it was lying around minding it's own business and "BANG" some bloke falls over it. :lol:

what you want is a xbox 360 and play online, ive spent about 5 hours on it today, and il be back on it tonight, i only wish the doctor would make me take 2-3 weeks off!!! :grin:

i remember in the summer my brother falling of a set of ladders and busting a couple of ribs, i found out of my uncle but when he told me i was painting a 33 sah windows so every day i was up the ladders, i text me brother
'lol'
he text me with three questions marks, i replied with
'just working up some ladders and thought of you!!! lol'
all i got was
'C%*T'

thats the worst bit about having a accient at work is getting the sh*t ripped out of you when you go back to work
