Well it is just an idea from friend whom I am helping - can she have the flooring vinyl on the ceiling too please?
It is a sheet material and 2mm. Plaster under is ok, some mould and thin cracks, what prep is best?
Best adhesive for this as will have steam from shower etc.?
Will have styro coving finishing it round edges. Walls are tanked plaster and tiled upto coving most areas.

I've done Formica laminate to both walls and ceilings (thanks for that, Paul Raymond!) using the usual contact adhesive (Evostik 528) - I'd say you need something similar, but make sure it won't eat the vinyl.....
.......and plan very carefully before you start whacking it up.

One day it will all be firewood.

well I suppose its no different to a leather ceiling, Bostik Laybond or Laybond gripfill contact or if you want to get higher than a kite Evo-stik contact but not if its expanded vinyl, Maipei, F ball and Co and Tremco all do suitable adhesives (vertical use) I have just fitted some commercial grade Polyflor vinyl with Laybond Gripfill on a floor and 2ft up the walls

Thanks all - it will look pretty good I think. Better than the buckled and torn polystyrene that was there anyway! I just wasn't sure it would stick to plaster. I assume any of those are waterproof. The evo-stik contact can be fun, mate of mine wiped out a van after fitting outa telephone exchange using it!
