Ryobi one plus Nicad drill query

Hello hope someone may be able to help
I am selling 2 Ryobi one plus tools on behalf of someone who has suffered a bereavement, one is a drill driver model ref CDI 1802 and the other a jigsaw CJS-180L together with 4 nicad batteries.

The problem is that the batteries all work the jigsaw but the drill only works with one. All the batteries are 1817M apart from one which is BPP1817m but the only one which works is one of the 1817M batteries the other 2 identical batteries don't work the drill.

Any ideas what the reason might be. I charged all batteries up till green on charger before trying them

all should work with all
have a look at the drill where the battery goes in
you have 2 contact looking like fingers suspect the casing may not be holding them tight enough allowing a loose contact or a contact bent back or just a rusty contact

so first thing try moving lightly with a finger that will let you see any movement
second thing clean the contact faces in case they are corroded
try that and report back

Just pushed the contacts in a bit on the drill and its working with the other batteries now . Thanks for the help big-all

it had to be something simple as the drill works and all batteries work
