Who was at football yesterday?
I went to Ipswich to watch Barnsley lose 4 2. Score didn't reflect the way the game went, and I was quite happy with my lads performance after our step up up from league one.
12 hour day though, after road closures and sitting in traffic, and only just making kick off.

Re: Who was at football yesterday?
I can't justify the cash to go to Ibrox every other week so watch it on tv.
Rangers drew 1-1 with Hamilton,50,000 sellout but was a poor game,Rangers dominated possetion but had no cutting edge,Joey Barton looks a very good player tho.

Re: Who was at football yesterday?
joey barton is a class act. he got properly on his game at newcastle before he fell out with the owner and management. we could do with the likes of him now. and he clearly has a lot of affection for newcastle united. if we had him last season rather than the charlatans we did have (sissoko, wijnaldum etc) we wouldnt be in the championnship now.
actually yesterday i had the run around getting my phone fixed. it seems apple dont like it if you have beta versions of their ios on your phone. haha.
yesterday was the day after newcastle's latest disastrous defeat. and south shields got beaten 3-1 by marske fc in the fa cup pre qualifying round

Re: Who was at football yesterday?
I used to have a season ticket to Celtic Park and kept it on the first year I moved to London. The travelling killed me so I stopped the second year. When I moved to the North East of England all my new mates were Sunderland fans so I eventually got a season ticket for the SOL. I kept that on for a couple of years but we worked every other weekend so I was forever running around jiggling shifts around to go to the match. When I met my ex she quickly put a stop to that
I bought another season ticket for Celtic when I moved back up to Scotland but binned it when Rankers where liquidated and f*ck the whole league. The standard of football got even worse because Celtic didn't really have anyone to compete with domestically. The standard of football Ronnie Deila was putting out didn't encourage me to go back either.
I considered getting another season ticket when Saint Brendan was appointed but I think it'll be another one horse race for the foreseeable future so I'm not keen plus the fact meeting your mates in the pub prior to and after the match and then suffering on the Sunday doesn't appeal to me any more.
I go to every European game and probably pay more now in merchandise than I did when I had a season ticket so I still do my bit.

I think Barton is a very good player and a great acquisition for Rankers. He's a Celtic fan too which is a bonus

Re: Who was at football yesterday?
i love it how joey barton goes on about the forces of darkness like. bet he will have plenty to say when we finally get to beat them again. not this season obviously though unless we get them in one of the cups

Re: Who was at football yesterday?
He must find it a bit of a red neck chuntering on about being a Celtic fan and then slagging them off now when he signed for Rankers. He's best just shutting the f*ck up and stepping away from twitter. He's a good player but doesn't come across all that clever. Or maybe he thinks the Rankers fans are daft.
He's their version of Mo Johnston.
The clever Rankers fans must be cringing.

Re: Who was at football yesterday?
It's ironic that Scott Broon is a Rangers fan as well...
No danger Celtic will run away with the league. Remember the Scottish cup semi??
Yous were totally dominated and Rangers were by far the better team.

Re: Who was at football yesterday?
Yes Broony has a Rangers tattoo on his ankle but he didn't shout it from the rooftops that's the difference.
Rankers beat us in the semi's yes but totally dominated???? We must have watched a different game. It went into extra time and then Rankers won 5-4 on penalties so how could it be easy?????
Do you think it's reasonable to judge one game against a whole season.....I think not. Any team is capable of beating any other team on the day. 38 games throughout a season tells a different story. Surely you know that?

Re: Who was at football yesterday?
hes actually a canny clever bloke. have you seen that time he was on was it question time? reakon if he had not been a footballer and perhaps been a bit less of a d*ck and applied himself better he could have done very well for himself.

It's pricey in championship mate. It cost £60 for my lad and me yesterday at Portman road.steviejoiner74 wrote:I can't justify the cash to go to Ibrox every other week so watch it on tv.

We're having pricing categories this season, highest being £38.
I think villa fans were charged £48 at Wednesday today. [FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH]
