Utility room revamp

Post by Ktuludays »

Was asked to rejuvenate this utility room for a good customer of mine. They had recently moved in and this was part of a 50k extension done by previous owners. It looks like they ran out of funds when it came to finishing the utility room. The tiles were badly fitted and stuck on with polyfilla!

1st pic is with old industrial sink removed, it was horrendous.

Tiling and sink completed. I'm pretty pleased with the outcome and it only took 3.5 days start to finish. Not bad for a handyman. Customer was thrilled.

Looks a million times better :thumbleft:

Amongst many other issues in the original build, why tile around a power socket?

I know. I think the owner did the tiling as the rest of the extension was of a high standard. It only took 10 minutes to pull those tiles off, no tools needed at all!

I agree. It's what customer wanted as it was 2.7m long but they bought 2 x 2.4m worktops!!

Looks really great. The before, during and after photos show perfectly what you accomplished. I agree the joining bar isn't ideal yet if they are happy it's fine. Good job.

Thanks. Probably my favourite job of the year.
