A mixup of metalwork and woodwork bits and bobs

Post by Hitch »

As per norm, a right mix of bits and bobs...

A little trolley for moving a specific item round during inspection/testing. SWL of 600kg, the specified (by customer) eye on top is actually rated to 3600kg

Knocked up these 2 benches this week, reasonably heavy duty, for a commercial.agricultural mechanics workshop. Door catches and paint still to sort. 50mm box, 2mm sheet and 6mm plate top.

Had a customer in for an industrial feel stainless coffee bar. on a budget... he templated what he wanted, cut outs and such, now up to me to fold stainless sheet over it and make it look good! Shhet a little thinner than i'd reccomend personally, but will be fine once bonded onto the wood.

Sheet cut, corners notched and folded...love it when corners come together like this, virtually no gap.

Tig welded and polished/regrained. Not many tools used really.

We move house in the spring, my lad wanted some shelving, for toys/books...
He choose to have a chequer plate shelving unit with flexitubs... so i bought a sheet of aluminium chequer, an made this for him to suit the tubs.

This little dish is part payment for some timber I was given sometime ago, an apple tree trunk that was blown over in a storm. I cut it into blanks and air dried it for almost 2 years.

Hi,

Very impressive work Hitch; well done and thanks for sharing; I too love big toys; the bigger the better. It's nice to see someone else getting stuck into decent metalwork. :salute:

Kind regards, Col.

All good stuff Hitch. :thumbright:

I must get myself a lathe one day and have a play. Maybe when I eventually get around to moving I'll have enough space for some more toys.
One day it will all be firewood.
