Rutlands Black Friday sale started

Post by boxedin »

For those so interested do seem to be some genuine price reductions.

Prices seem in line with their usual pricing, not spotted anything reduced more than I have seen it before.

Maybe me then

I thought the accuscribe was cheaper (now out of stock) than I had seen it before as they had it on 2 for 1 which was pretty pointless at about £20 and now each at £13
6 chisels and a stone for £18 seemed a little bit cheaper than previous price
The guages digital, angle and the brass marking guages seemed to be a bit lower than I had previously seen them and the dowel jigs. Don't keep a record like so,
Come to think of it they should really say how much further everything has reduced by on the black friday deals to take the guesswork out of it.
I wouldn't buy anything I didn't need and couldn't get cheaper anywhere else anyway

:dunno: Boxedin; My earlier post might have come across as unfriendly... not my intention at all..... It's just that having worked in retail for a while (Some years ago now) I know the way retailers work.. sale items are bought in as a one off at a "Claimed" discount..and Joe Public buy it..

Same here, I also did a stint in retail probably not as long ago as yourself, practices haven't changed, probably worse now.

Lo Rorschach and win~o
Just got back from the pub, no offence taken, good points about Rutland, should be explicit about how much extra they are discounting the price for Black Friday.
Halfords are more explicit 15 % extra for Black Friday on tools. http://www.halfords.com/advice/cycling/ ... mp_desktop
Even then do you need it, in most cases probably not. is there a cheaper way probably.
Best wishes
