I don't get the point of 10V kit -, especially and impact drive - all show and no go!

Agree. What's a 10.8v impact driver realistically going to do?
Carpentry,I can explain it to you but I cannot understand it for you.

shhhhh
my 10.8 bosch blue gets far more use than my 18v ryobi or dewalt
but then to be fair 90% off the stuff i do is not heavy duty

what i like about 10.8 stuff is its small and compact
up a ladder it fits in the pocket
also in 2 normal size kit boxes you can get loads off stuff
in one
a buzzy toy
a impact driver
a hammer drill
a work torch
an inspection camera
an angle drill
a reciprical saw
a mini angle grinder
6 batteries and charger
2ryobi bit boxes containing drill bits screw driver bit recipsaw blades buzzy to blades and mini disks

box 2
a jigsaw
a dremil tool
a drill driver
an area worklight
a ryobi bit box
a dremil bit box
5 batteries and charger

the compact size makes it invaluable in confined spaces
indeed the only bit off kit that wont fit in the kit boxes the mini circular saw will cut flooring under a kitchen unit thats just under 6" off the floor

Nice to be able to cut flooring under a kitchen unit but how to you get access under the floor if it's under a kitchen unit
