This is very confusing :??

How many light switches do you have on the same circuit?

From the above it would appear that there are 4 switches, do these all control one light fitting?

[quote="zippo84"]at the top off my stairs i have a single switch (1g) what controls one light
that light is at the top of the stairs
the wires i have are

blue =L2
yellow =L1
black=common, put some red tape over this
and 2 red that are connected to each other witch Block Connector
LEAVE THE 2 REDS AS THEY ARE
and the switch i have for that has
C
L1
L2

the other single switch(1g) i have is at the end of hall what controls two lights one light in the hall the other at bottom of stairs
the wires i have are

blue =L2
yellow=L1
red= Common

and the switch i have for that has
C

and the other switch on this controls the same as the one in bold at top of page

red all from the same cable

and the 2nd cable is
blue
yellow
red all from the same cable

and the switch i have has
2 C terminals
2 L1 terminals
2 L2 terminals

Simply follow my colour code on this switch, keep each cable to 1 switch , yellow=L1 Blue =L2 Red = Common

Try these combinations and i think you should have them working in no time, any problems get back to me. Oh yes, the yellow and the blues should be sleeved with red sleeving, or red tape to indicate they are live conductors.
