Cheapest way to reinforce grass garden for vehicle use?

I've got both grass and concrete in my back garden. I want to reinforce the grass area (about 8 metres by 4 metres) so that I can use it as a driveway. I'm looking for solutions that will allow me to do a DIY job (I have very basic DIY and gardening skills) but also done as cheaply as possible. My initial thoughts were metal tracks that could be laid on the surface to cover the paths that the tyres would take. But I'm not sure what to search for for this. Are there any other options?

I know the grass will get ruined but if I don't use anything then it'll get ruined anyway, and if I go for a professionally fitted reinforced grass mat then the existing grass will have to be pulled up anyway as well so I figure might as well try a low tech, cheap solution first as I won't do any more damage than the other solutions.

Thoughts and suggestions?

The 30 x 2 metre roll seems pretty good. I could cover the whole grassy area with one roll. Can you mow the grass with a lawn mower with this on?

I'm sure you can as that's the general idea. Suggest you ask them on-line before buying, that way you will be sure.
