I have some Amaro charcoal glazed porcelain floor tiles from wickes to lay. They are all stuck down nicely but I am unsure about the next bit so advise welcomed. Do I seal with something before grouting? Or after? What should I use? Do they need sealing or not as instructions say both! They look different when wet which has made me think.
Many thanks.

The surfaces of most ceramic and porcelain tiles do not need to be sealed, although some require a light application of a penetrating sealer to fill the micro pores on the surface of the tile. However, all unglazed tiles including dense porcelains, should be sealed prior to grouting.

Re: Sealing tiles
Glazed tiles don't need sealing... but the tiles you have are textured and when grouting any overspill must be removed immediately...

Re: Sealing tiles
Thanks for your replies. They say glazed tiles but don't look like they are. So just grout as usual without any sealing and should be ok. Why do they look so different when wet. Colour really enhanced which made me ask. Many thanks
