2011 Qashqai 1.5dci glow plug relays
Can someone help me and tell me what is the difference between the two relays please? Can they be tested as one of them might be faulty and don’t want to change them both. Thanks

Impossible to tell. Do you have a part number for the bottom image?
The top one is 'discoverable' via Google but I can't do a comparison with zero data on the second.

Don't take it personally......

There is only one on the car it depends on what spec the dci is, look at the one in the car and get the part number, don't cheap out on a pattern part item
it should have 2 or 3 part numbers on it manufacture, Nissan and Renault (1.5 dci K9K) located on the side of the battery
I know these engines very well, don't go throwing parts at the car based on a code - a duff glowplug can kill a new relay

Does the car have a DPF ?
edit. its a 2010 just double checked it on Nissan fast and the J10 ESM 01/2010 is the k9k change over (euro 5)
Here is the engine control section from the esm - all the info you require

save the file as will be removing it from dropbox shortly

Re: 2011 Qashqai 1.5dci glow plug relays
Thanks for that useful pdf m8 I’m not really into electronics but I’ll try. Today I managed to get to the plugs and checked them by leaving the multimeter positive probe on the battery and touching the negative with the glow plug. They all read the same voltage as the battery. Only one of them is a bit lower but I think they are all good so I think the relay is faulty right? Thanks and appreciate any help.

Not sure what you are testing there with voltages, the normal way is to check the resistance of plugs see this
https://www.wikihow.com/Test-Glow-Plugs
If you don't know what they should read then rule of thumb the odd highest reading is likely the duff one, if all the same then likely all good.

Re: 2011 Qashqai 1.5dci glow plug relays
Thanks for replying and I can see this is a method, the draw backs are if the plug access is difficult the probe may well touch the engine (an earth path) and show battery voltage and of course you cannot use volts if the plugs are out or battery disconnected for safety etc.
On a 7+year old car with my limited experience: it is highly likely a glow plug change is due whereas plenty of old 'timer relays' are on the market!

Re: 2011 Qashqai 1.5dci glow plug relays
full specs are in the manual above, iirc its more than 2 ohm, voltage is useless tbh (apart from continuity) its the current draw thats important,
k9k is a Renault engine and they do eat relays, glow plugs are good for 80-100k miles, less if the car is doing short journeys (what also buggers the dpf)
You don't say if the car has thrown any codes, P0380 and P0381 are the 2 common ones

Yes its showing p0380. How do I check the current draw please? I’m thinking of replacing the plugs with bosch ones and replace the relay too cause I’m thinking it’s faulty
