Good evening,
I have an oldish Samsung multi-fuction cheapo digital camera.
Transferring stills onto computer is a doddle, but I`m lost with the video side of things.
I can play them back on my camera no problem, but once on the computer,I don`t know how to turn the depicted icons into viewable material.I need to send some vids off.I managed years ago to send small clips of cock pheasant, doing a mating dance and wing flutter-crowing,but somehow I`ve lost the knack to be able to view or send any of the vids from my camera via computer with this replacement PC.
I`m guessing that I have to install a reader?...but am hoping there`s another way because I`m operating a defunct system that could well refuse to play ball as far as that`s concerned?
Any useful advice much appreciated.

Whats the file extension (the file type) from the camera?
If you can't see the extension, right click on the file, click "properties" and it should tell you.

What is the file type. eg. avi, mp4, mov
VLC will play most file types and works with most versions of windows
