Hello!

Post by Sqwoo »

Hi Everyone!

So I am a DIYer in the truest sense of the term...as in I have no idea what I'm doing and just wing it lol!

I've always been a do-er, although I do lack the patience to really actually 'learn' how to do something correctly: I know, I know, a badly done job is a job done twice! My main project has been doing a shop refit for a cafe I ran a few years ago, where my main tool of choice was a simple hammer!

I've joined the site because I am hoping to get some help and inspiration for future projects. I have a long list of work that needs doing to my house (and a list of things that don't need to be done but I would love to do!). However my husband is very risk averse, meaning he doesn't trust us to do any work, but also doesn't trust that we'll find a decent tradesman who won't take our money and burn our house down. Which means that nothing gets sorted!!

I'm currently starting an online gift shop, which means I am suited to doing plenty of the work myself (if I am able!).
So stand by for 100 posts as I ask every question going and hope that you wonderful people don't mind sharing your knowledge and experience with this noob!

Susan

PS. My two main goals are 1, have a reason to buy a sledgehammer and 2, design a self build for myself and my husband. *dream big*
