Hello,
first of all, sorry if i posted in the wrong section. Couldnt find the car section.
So, my girlfriend has got a 2008 ford fiesta. someone from a service took the battery out and the radio was requesting a passcode, we inserted it too many times and obviously all those times it was wrong ( lel ) .
I would like to change it, do i need any special connectors or those that are already there will do the job?
Also, where can i order a smaller dashboard?

Re: Ford fiesta 2008 Radio
If you buy another Ford radio it should plug strait in.
You can also take it to a Ford dealer and get the radio "unlocked"

Would you hit a nail with a shoe because you don't have a hammer? of course not, then why work on anything electrical without a means of testing Click Here to buy a "tester" just because it works, does NOT mean it is safe.

Re: Ford fiesta 2008 Radio
There are a number of different radios on the Fiesta. Many are designed to be part of the dashboard and not easy to replace with an after market unit. Most are made by Blaupunkt or Sony and in the main they are good units. I would say that a visit to a Ford main dealer, as SE above has said, is the best option. They have the ability to check the code. Get your girlfriend to go in with it and flutter her eyelashes, it usually will get a result

Re: Ford fiesta 2008 Radio
there are plenty of install kits for a double din - A main dealer will not be interested in such a old car iirc the main units are £450+ from a stealer
eg. http://www.connects2.co.uk/products/ins ... hicle/Ford - the kit depends on the display and dash colour and is £110-130 for the complete kit
2008 is a change over year is it a Mk6.5 or Mk7 ? (the mk7 has the large front grille)
You can send the unit away and get it unlocked
https://www.dndservices.co.uk/ the shop is closed till the 3rd of August but have used them a few times over the years with no issue
Edit. it must be a late mk6.5 as the Mk7 stereos are coded to the car iirc - is there any model numbers on the front of the radio ? eg.CD6000, CD6006 ??
