take it you'r a chippy? as festool kit is very expensive and "claimed to be the best" not used it my myself. As i think makita, bosch and hitachi are good kit, and for the money they hold upto the site work i do fine. Altho festool is abit to pricey imo i dont think it would be robust enough for everyday site use but i do like the look of the circular saw and guide rail they make.

yup, i am and to be honest thats the opinion i had excatly! they do seem a bit more geared towards kitchen and bedroom fitting work, rather than site and maintanence. i was hoping someone would tell me i'm wrong because they seem very well made.chippymike wrote:take it you'r a chippy? as festool kit is very expensive and "claimed to be the best" not used it my myself. Hi,
I use Festool laminate trimmers at work. theyre a very good work horse, the cables have a bayonet type fitting, so you can unplug the tool for any reason. comes in handy, for replacing cutters or getting twists/knots ect out of cables. even for replacment cable its a easy swap using this method if cable gets damaged.
dont know what else to say lol...
hope that kinda helps![scratch ](./images/smilies/icon_scratch.gif)
