Hello, I have some Minton tiles that I need to clean, I have removed lots of cement/paint etc and now need to clean them.
My nearest tile supplies are Tile Mountain and Tops Tiles, looking at Fila ps87 and Fila Deterdek.
I will need to regrout or clean the grout after.
Any ideas ?

Is acid cleaner too harsh? Are these wall or floor tiles as floor tiles seem to respond well to an acid clean. It should not affect the glaze.

Re: Cleaning Minton tiles
not done it in a long while, tile cleaner is a mild acid iirc, are they glazed tiles ? if there not glazed you will need to clean them, wash off the acid, leave it to dry and reseal them
im sure I missed a step - youtube may be of help

Re: Cleaning Minton tiles
Rather than going the route of an acid cleaner I'd try cif and a non scouring spontex pad first.
Suppose it will depend on how soiled the tiles are.

Re: Cleaning Minton tiles
Sorry, I thought I'd replied long ago.
These are floor tiles, don't think that they are glazed, they are very dull, been under laminate for many years.
going to have a play with the tiles just behind the front door, there will be a new
mat going there anyway, cheers for your help so far.
