Credit Cards !!!!

Post by Telmay »

Just before Christmas I called up a credit card company and had a balance of £3054, said I wanted to pay balance but couldn't as they would only take a maximum of £3k off my debit card. So left £54 on the account and to be honest forgot all about it. Today three sh*ty letters arrive all dated different but arrive together, one demands the £54 or debt collectors will call, One says your credit limit is now £350 and the third letter says we have agreed to your request of a fixed payment of £5 per month to clear balance please destroy your card!

I called them and congratulated them on their customer communication skills and how could we have reached an agreement without speaking? I got along silence which I think equated to the dozy git on the end of the phone shrugging his shoulders - not totally bothered as I was going to close it, but its not the point of my rant!!!!!! :angryfire:

Just another example of the credit card firms getting rid of customers with small balances as they now they wont make much wedge out of you in the future - b*stards :angryfire: :angryfire:

I pay it all off every month. Never had a problem even though it's gone well over £3k when I've been on holiday.
I should be dead; I've cheated the Grim Reaper yet again by surviving my third heart attack in June.

I have a limit of 10K on my CC  I'm waiting for them to reduce it soon. Had the card with nationwide for 10 years and every 6 months they kept putting the limit up.

Its just a 'normal' card, not a gold one.

Feva, outstanding balance is £54, they reduced credit limit from £3000 to £350 as they have guessed that I am closing the account.
