Modern lightbulbs

Post by Handy Angie »

Why is it that the same sort of people that do not appreciate wireless mouses do not appreciate modern lightbulbs? Why on earth would someone choose to buy a "normal" bulb when you can buy these babies? They come in all different colours and they have spikes on them. B&Q sell them for £1.89. Bargain!

Only thing is I didnt realise a red bulb would give off red light. I sort of thought that it would be white light. So maybe UHM has a point when he says it glows like a hookers room!

I saw them in B & Q too but my oh didn't appreciate them either! Men! The purple one looks a bit Goth. My two girls want some in their room. They've got a collection of Ikea ghost lights and they're cute.

Our nearest Ikea is in Nottingham. That's big enough according to my oh! I've been to the one in London but no others. it's fascinating for browsing and the kitchen storage stuff is good.

You must realise that some people have brains and intelligence and others do not. Guess which category you fall into?

Only thing is I didnt realise a red bulb would give off red light. I sort of thought that it would be white light.
That sentance just confirms what I said above :congrats:

B & Q have hit upon a good way of boosting profits. The light bulbs look like they've just had coloured silicone sealant randomly piped on to the glass.

Feva,

I can see what you mean. :thumbright: Unless B & Q Lighting has gone kinky, the bulbs were in the Lighting Department. My girls love them but they would have to go into very strange lights. I looked at one and I reckon the rubber would eventually come off, maybe as it heated up over time. They didn't look that robust at all. I think I must have Goth tendencies, I actually like the purple one the best.

Why waste £1.80 on it  :?

Light on, too bright to look at.
Light off, too dark to see.

My oh says it's the equivalent of safe sex for a lightbulb because it's sort of like a bulb condom!

They must have passed safety tests to be sold in B & Q surely? They are really weird though.
