Tile over Rubber Flooring

Post by knights »

Hi, Just a quick question. I have rubber flooring (https://www.polymax.co.uk/rubber-mattin ... floor-tile) installed on one of the downstairs floor which i would like to tile. Subfloor is concrete. Is this possible or would it be best to take up the rubber floor and adhesive? If so, is there a product or tool to remove the adhesive ?

Thanks

Ray

Anything other than a solid floor will cause you issues if not now it will in the future, You can get various adhesives but they don't tend to last imo

Taking up the rubber will be hard work and one of these https://www.wickes.co.uk/Wickes-Steel-P ... r/p/500719
