I've got the angle grinder but not used it much yet seems ok.
Already got a rothenberger gas soldering iron otherwise I would get the soldering iron, using it to make a planting mats for allotment it seals the plastic as it cuts to stop fraying which is bad on the cheaper weed control fabric. Quite useful things to have around, for moulding bits of plastic, heat shrinking, paint removal, bits of sign pyrography, heating up awkward nuts etc. uses standard butane lighter gas

I fitted a chuck to it so I can use it as a right angle drill for tight spaces.

I bored out and re-tapped a drill chuck to M14.

Thanks. You can buy M10 chucks which fit the mini angle grinders, unfortunately they don't do M14 chucks for this purpose so I made my own.

Any chance you can tell me where you got the drill chuck. I have been looking to do the same thing but the only chucks I can find have 13mm female thread and I doubt there will be enough metal left to tap to 14mm.

The minor diameter for an M14 thread is 12mm. 1/2-20 thread has a major diameter of 12.54mm. By the time I bored out the threads it was closer to 13mm but that was still plenty for me. If the threads ever strip I will just make another.
You could be a 3/8-24 or an M10 chuck if you were worried, I wasn't.
