AEG lifetime warranty offer

Don't know the details, but I was flicking though the magazines at WH Smith today and saw what sounds like a "too good to be true" offer .....

AEG are offering a lifetime warranty on cordless power tools, including the batteries as well

Anyone heard about this or know the details?

In addition to the standard Three Year Limited Service Warranty currently included with all AEG Professional Power Tools, purchasers of selected cordless power tools in the “Global Battery System” range may elect to receive a free Lifetime Service Agreement.

THIS OFFER IS AVAILABLE FOR A LIMITED PERIOD OF TIME AND MAY BE WITHDRAWN AT ANY TIME PRIOR TO ACCEPTANCE

The Lifetime Service Agreement entitles the original purchaser of selected cordless power tools in the “Global Battery System” range to a lifetime supply of free replacement batteries, free replacement parts and free annual service subject to the conditions and limitations set out below.

The Lifetime Service Agreement is in addition to the statutory rights applicable to consumers which remain unaffected.

I beleive they are same manufacturers as Milwaukee.
Not keen myself, some of the Milwaukee stuff is top notch, other stuff is almost unusable.

ive not used any Milwaukee but some of there kit looks good but very expensive

Not a fan of the grinders. Give them the slightest bit of stick, and the overload protection cuts in. Have to switch it off and back on again

atlas copco is the new AEG. they used to be great tool seen everywhere on site. anyone using panasonic???

I read some where that ni cad batteries are going to be outlawed from sept 2008 so i think the wont be able to replace their batteries from that date if thats the type of battery they use.
