Why is that pal? Are the Parkside tracks no good or is it because there'd be too many joins with 4?
The parkside tracks are perfectly fine but you really want a single 1400mm track as that is your workhorse really. I bought a festool 1400mm because back then it was all you could get (and I did get a stonking good deal at the time) which I can combine with my parkside tracks if needed.

The evolution pack though is 2 x 1400mm tracks, with a bag and a pair of clamps for only slightly more than 1 x 1400mm festool track. It's a no brainer really, especially when you could get it from screwfix directly and probably get a discount code too.

I bought the Parkside tracks ealier this year (or end of last year). I got 2 packs of 2 x 700mm rails delivered by UPS for £35.

I haven't found the single joining bar an issue as the tracks are butt joined and so there isn't really any movement unless you twist them which you'd never do in normal use.

However, the evolution tracks (didn't exist when I got the Park side) seem good value given you get 2 x 1400mm, clamps and a bag. FFX was the cheapest price when I last looked, I might get them next time ebay have an FFX code going.

Peter Millard has done a video on an upgrade to the blade on the parkside track saw (Triton 48T £10)

Looks a good upgrade for the money. I use a Trend blade on mine, cheap but decent blade for the money.

I had a right pop at FFX about the Evolution ST2800 tracks. The box where you entered discount codes was not displayed. They said they'd have it up and running withing a couple of hours but two days later it still wasn't fixed. I had a to and fro with them on twitter which got me nowhere so I eventually told them to stick it up their arse and bought from elsewhere.

I know it was only 5% but I get annoyed when I get messed around.

Peter Millard has done a review of titan vs parkside model now. Doesn't say much more than he has already said but confirms Parkside as his preferred/

Thanks.

I think the original parkside blade is of thicker kerf which means the guide strip will be off (only a fraction I guess). Is it possible to get replacements?

Yes you can replace the splinter strip/guard. You can also push the splinter strip out slightly and re-trim with the new blade.

However - for perspective - we are talking about 0.1mm to 0.2mm difference when you change the blade (half the difference of the kerf).

If your woodworking is accurate to 0.1mm, then I salute you sir

I'm pretty good ... I usually land the cut somewhere on the same sheet of material
