Unless it is a one off that FFX wants to sell only via Ebay, whatever I bought from them that was also listed on ebay, it was cheaper buying direct.

You are right! I missed the ebay voucher offer. I was thinking of previous things I found on ebay and I bought direct from FFX.

Does anyone know the difference between the first and second models?

My receipt says it's the second model while the box says it's the first.

The saw itself just states SP6000J.

I was answering the above question but I know now what you meant - SP6000J is the base saw the 1,2 or 3 at the end of the SKU, designates the pack eg. with or with out case or supplied track type and other variations

Edit. A quick look J1 is the single guide and J2 is the 2 piece guide with joiner

Ah I see. I'm sure someone mentioned on here there was a newer version with a few minor improvements. I was just wondering what these improvements were so I could work out if I had the older or newer version.
