Suitable For Body Grooming:
Cutting wood, branches, logs.

I've always found that I have a need for one of these. The odd Gardening job that you just can't reach! The annoying tree branch that is just beyond reach without teetering on a step ladder. But, I've never felt the need to justify the expense of a petrol driven variant.

However, this is a viable consideration at £69.99

Check how far it reaches. Unless the specification is wrong, extended does not seem to reach that far, and either Lidl or Aldi or both gave the reach so as to include the operators height. Cobblers in other words. Nevertheless, on a similar note to you I bought one of these recently https://www.screwfix.com/p/mac-allister ... -saw/446fg Not brilliant built quality (too short screws and badly fitted etc), it reaches far but so far I have not been brave to extend it yet.

I have a ryobi pole saw, the biggest draw back is that it is very top heavy and with no counter balance it makes it hard to work with

Body grooming - i wouldn't like to do my nose hairs with it

Yup :-( which is why I have not gone after the neighbour's branches

And the ALDI version looks a lot heavier.

I've also been looking at the MacAllister at Screwfix. Although I haven't checked, from reading the reviews, Screwfix supply replacement 'chains'. I get the point about them being 'heavy' when extended but, when reaching upwards, into branches, the weight is in a downward direction.

The other point of interest is Chain Oil. Screwfix do 5 Litres for £14.99

That's a lot of Oil in a container that will be seldom used. Their 1 Litre offering is £4.99

Over the road, at Toolstation. 1 Litre Chain Oil is currently £3.18

Added to which, due to me being a Trade 'Cardholder' [for my Company] I have just received [another] discount card through the post for Screwfix (which I keep quiet about

) giving me £10 off any purchase over £25 before a specified date.

I'll be getting the MacAllister from Screwfix and the Chain Oil from Toolstation.
