V5

Post by ayjay »

I've been putting together all the documentation for my upcoming van sale/purchase. I'm struggling to find the V5 for the Merc.

I've found the V5 for my old work van (now a tin shed tucked discreetly behind the hedge in the front garden and on a SORN), and that is two pages.

I can only find one page of the V5 for the Merc, which is actually pages 3 and 4 of the form.

I'm guessing that that's not enough and I'll have to send off for another one. Is that right?

Not sure if it helps or not, (but thanks for trying), I've got pages 3/4 of the V5, which are the pages that need to be filled in when selling, but it's pages 1/2 which will have my details on,(I can see that from the other V5 I have).

You can do it online https://www.carbuyer.co.uk/tips-and-adv ... he-logbook
Either way the dealer you are going through will probably be up to date with this. Give them a call.

Cheers wine~o, I was planning to call them tomorrow about it if I couldn't find a definitive answer. I need to call them anyway to arrange a collection date etc. So much to do.

Anyone want to buy £4ks worth (new retail price) of redundant hoists? (One Brig-Ayd 150 kg scooter hoist and one Milford person lift).

This is strange.

I phoned the dealer that I'm exchanging vehicles with and he seemed to think that I needed the full V5c form, but wasn't sure.

To be on the safe side I phoned DVLA to order a new one, (cost £25.00), she found the relevant details eventually and said she could see that we had never received the full document and would send me a copy.

No charges mentioned at all, it should arrive in 3 or 4 days.
