Ceiling light and pendant wiring.

Hi,

I am just looking for some advice/confirmation on my first wiring project.

I am wiring a pendant light (e27 porcelin) from scratch and watch to attach it to an existing ceiling point.

Can I please ask you to take a look at the pics attached and advise me if anything is wrong with my wiring or my plan.

As I see it, I simply need to wire both earth wires (from the main cable and the metal removable cover) into the connector block together. Then the other two.

I believe I have done the porcelin connector correctly. But I am doing so, purely from what I could find on the net.

The earth wire on the lamp holder flex could do with tidying up (Too much conductor showing)

The earth in the choc bloc is in the wrong terminal (according to the label, but I am being pedantic about it)

And don't forget when you connect the eath from the light fitting, you need to connect both earth wires to the same choc bloc (Like you have done with the incoming earths)

Thank you for your reply. So, other than the earth being untidy (which I will sort), the light fitting is wired correctly?

I can't be 100% sure from a picture as it needs testing, but it LOOKS ok.
