Gaps in brickwork indoors

Post by Ireskye »

Hi,
We live in a rented property. Our utility room was previously an out house so the brick work indoors isn't great
There are large gaps throughout the utility room and I am worried about damp coming into winter. I was wondering if there is anything I can fill the gaps up with. Preferably I need something that I can remove when we move out as I don't want it to affect my deposit.

How much of the outhouse is like that? Have you contacted the landlord about the gaps?

How thick is the wall and what is the finish like on the outside? It may not be a problem at all other than aesthetically.

No reason you can't fill those gaps with a sand and cement mix and then paint to match the rest.
One day it will all be firewood.
