Light switch help please - I’m lost!

Post by Mattijones »

Morning all. I have changed 3 switches around the house, from plastic to metal faces. Thought I had this nailed but then was presented with this configuration and I’m lost. Any help would be awesome, thank you.

They are both the same switches (Two switches sitting side by side)
The new one, both switches are the same way round.
The old one each switch is upside down to the other.

Also if you look at your old switch, on the back of the plate (Not on the actual switch) it has the same names your new switch does.

I would also suggest you mark each wire (tape or pen) then take another picture, just incase you get disturbed while changing them over.
Above are my opinions Below is my signature.

Would you hit a nail with a shoe because you don't have a hammer? of course not, then why work on anything electrical without a means of testing Click Here to buy a "tester" just because it works, does NOT mean it is safe.

 If gloom had a voice, it would be me.

:idea1: Click Here for a video how to add/change pictures
