Single light switch mysteriously swapped round
My beloved is convinced that the single lightswitch in the bedroom has suddenly started working the opposite way. There are no other switches operating this light (guaranteed).
Although I have used the switch daily for 25 years I can’t be sure.
Is this possible or does one of us need to go and see a doctor?

How do you suppose it has changed if there is only ONE Light switch controlling the light.
Have you had any "contractors" in recently?

Would you hit a nail with a shoe because you don't have a hammer? of course not, then why work on anything electrical without a means of testing Click Here to buy a "tester" just because it works, does NOT mean it is safe.
If gloom had a voice, it would be me.

Is there (or was there) ever another entrance to that room? Is there a switch in a wall/recessed cupboard? Got (mischievous) kids/grandkids? All factors to be wary of!
Don't take it personally......

Push the bottom for ON and the top for OFF
Unless someone has turned the switch upside down
This covid lockdown can make the mind behave strangely - some young children have regressed due to the lack of Stimulation and social interaction, forgetting how to use a knife and fork etc.

I have an even stranger phenomenon - someone keeps moving switches to the other side of entrances to rooms. They're never where they were last time I was searching in the dark.

When you say "guaranteed" no other switches, did you wire it up in the first place, or trace the wiring recently?
Bedrooms often have two way switching with a pull switch pull switch, not necessarily over where the is bed now. Anything in the back of a fitted wardrobe, down the back of furniture or anything like that where it's got inadvertently switched?

I would agree with @Dave54 seems likely a two way switch you have not found, how many wires connect to switch, 2 or 3?
