Changing Trowel
I've tiled a few bathrooms and kitchens in the past but only with the old 4" square tiles. I'm tiling my bathroom with 300 x 200 mm tiles and am not happy with the results. Some tiles stand proud of others. I think a lot of it is down to hills and valleys in the plastering. I have been trying to rectify this by skimming and sanding but I'm now thinking a deeper notched trowel might help when tiling. The one I have is 6mm and I didn't realise they came in different depths until I looked at the sticky post here. I've completed about half the room so far. Should I stick with my existing trowel or use a deeper notched one for the rest of the room?
