Ceramic Floor tiling On Timber

Post by Jasper »

i know it can be done, with the right sort of adhesive and by lining the floor with screwed down plywood but is it really a good idea to use a not flexible finish on timber which moves?

I have a 22mm chipboard ground floor fixed to 50mm battens. My other half would like ceramic floor tiles to our kitchen but I am not so keen. I think we would be better screeding the floor first but it would be a nightmare keeping everyone of it for two days! and then there is the kitchen units.

By the way I dont like laminate flooring!
