I have a Ryobi half inch router, which came with a router table. I got it from ebay and I don't think it cost much more than £100 for the router with the table.

yep thats the ryobi 1150 uhm the trouble is its half the power
for around 60 squid more than your £150 smithy you can a big boys table with sliding carrage they go for around £210 plus postage

Thanks for the replies. The reason I am looking at the Makita table is that it seems fairly compact and I can use it clamped to a Workmate. I also like the router clamping system it uses. The table in Big-All's link looks very nice but unfortunately I do not have the floor space for a table that big.
