Hi all I'm Chris from York and I'm planning on making a tiled seating area in a part of my garden which is currently just soil.
The area will be weed free and I have two bags of mot sub base which im going to compact down to around 50mm.
My wife is looking at these tiles from tops. Attached
Are these suitable and how would you lay them, my thoughts are they are not suitable
The area I'm gonna tile is attached.

Outdoor seating area
Not a good idea for a number of reasons. They would need a solid unmoveable substrate to avoid the tiles cracking with movement and the weather would allow water to percolate through and then frost would bugger them. That is why you mainly see slabs and paviors for outside sitting areas. Get her to pick slabs.
