Air Impact Wrench Airflow Requirements

I am thinking about this Hyundai 50 litre air compressor:

I'm wondering if I can use this air impact wrench:

It says 11 CFM/100psi but then below it says Airflow - FAD: 5 CFM

Never owned an air compressor before and it's a little confusing.

I have had a couple of small compressors, the biggest issue is that the motors cannot keep up with a continual flow. For example, when I used my airline to blow clean my floor it soon depleted the pressure enough to make it ineffective. Also when I was spraying it also faded in use. An air impact uses a fair bit of pressure when it is working but the shorter flow duration might be fine. I think that most mechanics use cordless these days.

Well, it will work but a lot depends on what you'll be using it for - the commonest use would be car wheel nuts. There you will find:

An air wrench such as this won't undo wheel nuts that have been fitted at a tyre shop - they always over tighten them, you'll need a breaker bar to loosen them first as this gun won't do it.

You'll immediately regret only having a 50 litre tank, you'll undo a few nuts then the compressor will kick in and you'll have to wait a short while for the pressure to build back up, wrenches are air-hungry. Minimum 100 litre tank & even more better, but perhaps you don't work in a hurry.

When fitting wheels on, you need the gun torque turned down, then do the final raipse up with a torque wrench. I've got a couple of guns but most often I change wheels manually, I can't be bothered to get the wrench & airline out.

Don't forget you'll also need to buy a set of impact sockets, ordinary sockets will knacker very quickly.

3/8" drive guns are available, they may suit your use better? Do you really need "new"? Loads of guns on fleabay, and compressors sometimes - that A-zon gun looks dear to me.

Also, as DWD says, cordless wrenches are readily available now, save a lot of messing unless you need air for other purposes.

I would have a serious think about it.
Why do you want one, how often will you use it, how big can you afford to go?
Are you sure you need it?

My first one was only around 2L? I got it to blow my tyres up (Don't ask) it struggled to do ONE, so I now have a 24L one, I can check all my tyres with it and blow 2 of them from flat if I need to, I ended up spending more than I thought on hoses and a proper tyre inflator and adaptors. The thing is as arco_iris implies, to use it a lot you need a huge "receiver" (Big storage tank to you and me) which costs a lot of money which then begs the question do you really need a compressor? They are good, but expensive and not a lot of use for continuous work, one off yes, but then do you need it for a one off job?
