Have an Elu PS274 with Electronic Variable Speed control.
When would you use the variable speed on a mitre saw?

I will also say no idea why.
You guys already knew that, but .....
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman, "Where's the self-help section?"
She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

i can only assume its for cutting non ferrous metals with an appropriate blade
i dont think high speed is a problem whilst cutting hardwoods like it is when routering
we are all ------------------still learning

Thanks dd and ba,
I knew there would be some sense eventually
DD any ideas of the settings, say I have 1 to 6
I'm assuming wood is 6.
Laminate ?
Veneer Boards ?
I'm not asking for definitives just clues.

Generally high speeds for softer materials....e.g. wood, and low speeds for harder materials....e.g. metal.
