Good evening friends,
given the approach of Christmas and future work to be done at home I wanted to buy this DeWalt battery grinder but since in Italy the prices are very high I wanted to know if any of you had already used or purchased it and the judgment before spending 300 €. Thanks in advance for your help.
this is the model I am interested in seen on amazon.it https://amzn.to/3HonmJD

general comments
its incredibly powerful for an 18v tool buuuttt------------
at 800w if want to use it for more than say 20 mins continuous in any one hour you would probably flatten the second and be on the third battery as each battery contains 5400w for 60 seconds which is about six and a half mins at full power/heavy load 13mins at half power / medium load and about 20 mins light load
so on light load you have enough power for one hour without stopping with 3 batteries
18vx5ahx60=5400w

ive got the other model in the xr range. it comes in handy for various jobs. good little tool. id not use it flat out though and that one is noticeably slower than a mains grinder. assume that the brushless model in the link is a much better tool though

Some tools suit cordless, others do not, and this is one of them. More often than not a corded grinder and an extension lead does most jobs. I cannot think of many jobs where a cordless is needed, save for cutting off padlocks away from a power source.

Thank you all for your kind answers, now I have a little clearer ideas. However, my use would not be professional but for DIY a bit more demanding since I have a small DIY youtube channel and the usual supermarket brands are starting to no longer satisfy me. Thanks to everyone and I wish you and your families a peaceful 2022
