How to Remove Rust Faster?

Post by ugoleaf »

Rorschach A lot of dark matter came off, leaving stains. Should I dry and use sandpaper again or straight into bicarbonate soda it goes?

Those dark stains are the rust that has been converted by the treatment. A quick rinse with bicarb and then a good scrub with WD40 (scouring pad ideally) should clean it up nicely.

Believe it or not you can also get "wet and Dry" sandpaper.

Would you hit a nail with a shoe because you don't have a hammer? of course not, then why work on anything electrical without a means of testing Click Here to buy a "tester" just because it works, does NOT mean it is safe.

I guess I can always put paper under tap water and dry it but I thought there's a special kind of paper...

Rorschach After two cycles of overnight citric acid and baking soda finale I think it will take a few weeks to bring USSR ruler back and make it great again using 800 grit sandpaper. Unless I want to go that route maybe I should use a fine file tool to speed things up? Although a nice polished ruler would be something Golumn would buy.
