Hi everyone,
I am making my "item to purchase list" for my first project, can you please recommend a good joint compound for the plasterboards and a filler that I can use in bigger gaps between those?
Many thanks!

I use these (links):
Make Good Joint Compound & Filler should do both prior to plastering.
Toupret Expert Filler for filling after plastering.

Hi,
Just my opinion after a job I have just done.
Firstly I want to make it clear I'm not a professional plasterer, just DIY.
I used the British Gypsum joint compound inbetween boards along with paper jointing tape.
I accept I may have done something wrong, but I would not recommend this method to anybody especially if the gaps are more than a couple of mm, but I would not use it regardless going forward, I found the mesh tape easier and gave a better finish.
The tape bubbled in certain areas.
However, as a filler, I would definitely use the jointing compound and nothing else going forward.
Just my opinion.
