Hi,
I am looking for some help. I have a 12v linear actuator and have attached it to a rocker on/off/on switch. 1 position brings it on and the other position brings it out.
I have a smart relay which I was hoping to wire to the rocker switch so I can activate it from my phone and Alexa.
The linear actuator has positive and negative cable. Theres a blue and brown cable coming from relay.

Would you hit a nail with a shoe because you don't have a hammer? of course not, then why work on anything electrical without a means of testing Click Here to buy a "tester" just because it works, does NOT mean it is safe.

Adding a smart switch relay to a rocker switch
With 230 volt the smart relay replaced the switch and the switch then connected to relay. But only one way is to read the instructions as every relay is different.

Manatool, In order to be able to help you, I (and any one else) need more infomation.
What voltage is the relay, does it have clean contacts, how are you going to power your linear actuator, picture of afore mentioned items, anything else you think may help.

Adding a smart switch relay to a rocker switch
The relay voltage is 5v and the linear actuator is 12v.Someone-Else wrote: ↑Thu Jan 13, 2022 3:34 pm Manatool, In order to be able to help you, I (and any one else) need more infomation.

PLEASE stop quoting in your replies, just click the submit button.
What is the cable with red and back cores from?
The white thing, is that what you are calling a relay?
How are you going to power your actuator?
How does your actuator work? will it stay where it is if you remove the voltage? (Or what does it do?)
Just reply, DON'T CLICK THE QUOTE BUTTON.
