Endoscope Recommendation ?
Can anyone recommend a decent and not too expensive endoscope for probing behind kitchen cabinets, pipework under floors an all the other hidden household horror areas ! Thinking of one of these with a handheld screen - some seem to have dual views.
I used to have a very cheap chinese one years ago, which wasn't that good anyway, but it stopped working. It had a fixed focal length wide angle lens that just showed a blur unless you were very close to things and not that good a picture anyway - it had about a 1m long thick (12mm)flexi/convulex type probe and wasn't that easy to guide.
Thanks in hope !

Have a look at the ones that fit on your phone and that use the phone camera. You can get them from a tenner

I'd agree. Plenty on Amazon and ebay. If you get a USB/ MicroUSB one you can use it on a phone or a laptop for the bigger screen.

Endoscope Recommendation ?
I bought the Draper Endoscope from Toolstation. It's not bad although shite for close up inspection but should do what you want it for.
It's also good for confirming you have piles

Endoscope Recommendation ?
Well I never, I just looked in my "box of things I've bought on-line in a whim at some time and never used" and I actually have a cheapo 'wifi endoscope HD720P' - thought somewhere in my mind I had done this ............
anyway followed all instructions, installed app, but can't get it to work !
-it has life in it with the endoscope tip light
-installed the wifi view app as instructed but there are bad feedbacks it seems that compare to my experience of not getting the set up screens
-plenty of youtube vids that make it look easy but my one wont follow the steps
........anyway, back in the forget about box, couple of hours wasted on that
back to issues of tomorrow, think I'll post on a plumbing leak issue now !!!!!!

Try installing it on a tablet instead. I can't get several things connected on my phone but always do on my tablet.ChippyJoe wrote: ↑Wed Jan 12, 2022 9:21 pm Well I never, I just looked in my "box of things I've bought on-line in a whim at some time and never used" and I actually have a cheapo 'wifi endoscope HD720P' - thought somewhere in my mind I had done this ............

The other point is that they can be either for Android or Apple so that might be causing an issue?

Royal Bournemouth Hospital have some really excellent endoscopes... I've been on the receiving end more times than I like to admit.
