Help needed

Post by mike bish »

I have recently had a guy in to do a full house plaster. Attached are some of the issues we have in every room, Most of the rooms have over 40+ trowel marks, holes, channels from electrics showing and also beading coming through the plaster. The Plasterer says this is normal and believes he can titivate and fill most of these with Polyfilla. Plaster in one room has fallen of as it wasn't bonded to the wall correctly Picture attached. we are requesting our money back so we can get someone in who can complete the job properly. do we feel this is acceptable? Any advice would be great.

I have to say it is a poor finish. Did he use a dilute pva, two
coats are needed the first must dry the second stays wet during plastering?

Thankyou dewaltdisney, Honestly No idea. I know he used Pva as the empty containers were around. Concerned its going to look worse once painted and we have electric and the lights on.

It looks awful, why did you allow him to carry on through the whole house? Why did you pay him if you weren't satisfied?

Unless you can get him to admit he has done a very poor job I doubt he will refund without legal action.

Good luck with this, it must be very distressing.
